My interpretation is that it’s a person lying in bed at night and all his thoughts, insecurities, dreams, and memories come out, hence all different colors. Something like „you think twice about your life, it probably happens at night” even though that’s from a later album of course. I know I do the same, everything that bothers me or is going well for me it crosses your mind at night.
