Udało się! Mimo, że z powodu Emotional Roadshow Tyler i Josh nie mogli wziąć udziału we wczorajszej gali rozdania nagród magazynu Alternative Press, i tak rządzili tą imprezą. Chłopaki zdobyli dwie nagrody: w kategorii Artist Of The Year (Artysta Roku) i Album Of The Year (Płyta Roku) za Blurryface.
W kategorii Artist Of The Year pokonali All Time Low, Beartooth, PVRIS, Fall Out Boy, Motionless In White, Panic! At The Disco, Real Friends, Sleeping With Sirens i Slipknot.
Natomiast w kategorii Album Of The Year musieli zmierzyć się z All Time Low, August Burns Red, Bring Me The Horizon, Knuckle Puck, The Maine, Marilyn Manson, Neck Deep, Sleeping With Sirens oraz State Champs.
Obaj Tyler i Josh bardzo dziękowali fanom za nagrody. „Thanks guys for voting and supporting our album,” powiedział Josh. „Guys, thank you for accepting us and listening to our music,” dodał Tyler. „It’s really an honor to be mentioned with all these awesome bands that are presenting, performing and that were nominated. To be grouped with you guys is really an amazing thing for us, so thanks again.”
Zespół świętował wygraną na koncercie w Seattle.

W 2014 roku byli nominowani w kategoriach: Best Live Band, Album Of The Year (Vessel), Breakthrough Band, Best Drummer (Josh Dun), natomiast w 2015 roku: Best Live Band, Most Dedicated Fans, Tumblr Fandom Of The Year. Jednak nigdy nie udało im się zdobyć nagrody.
